A diagonal checkerboard in deep burgundy and white, built from fine woven threads that give the pattern an almost pixelated, cross stitch texture up close. Claret takes its name from the colour of the game's oldest prize, and wears that heritage quietly.

The weight is the point. A dense weave holds its shape and its colour through a season of going in and out of the bag, where a lighter fabric goes slack and starts to look tired. Lined in microfiber velvet to protect the crown, and cut to a barrel shape that pulls on and off without a fight.
